Dr C. P. Ravi Kumar's work included managing 16-bed acute neurology ward, Neuro HDU and running outpatient clinics. It’s a busy tertiary paediatric neurology service covering various sub- specialities such as paediatric general neurology, neuro muscular clinics and motor disorder.

Dr C. P. Ravi Kumar worked as part of a team of epilepsy consultants, paediatric dietician, epilepsy nurse specialist and a team of neurophysiologists in providing a tertiary level care to Children with complex epilepsy. He was also responsible in co-ordinating care of patients with the epilepsy surgery service at Kings and GOSH in discussing cases eligible for surgery/VNS.

Dr C. P. Ravi Kumar was a co-investigator for KiWE trial (Ketogenic Diet in Infants With Epilepsy) at Evelina London Children’s Hospital. Study aim is to find out the effectiveness of the ketogenic diet (KD) in reducing seizures, compared to the further use of anti-epileptic drugs in children aged 3 months to 2 years, who have failed to respond to two or more AEDs.
Dr C. P. Ravi Kumar is an instructor for Paediatric Epilepsy courses(PET) and Childhood Headache training course (CHaT) conducted by the British Paediatric Neurology Association. These courses have been started in India. He is also an instructor on Advanced Paediatric Life Support.
Dr C. P. Ravi Kumar have contributed to question writing for MRCPCH conducted by RCPCH. He was actively engaged in teaching undergraduates at Brighton & Sussex medical school and GKT School of Medical Education.
Dr C. P. Ravi Kumar have been trained in imparting simulation teaching and debriefing. He has trained various healthcare professionals in addressing technical and non – technical skills at the Simulation and Interactive Learning (SaIL) Centre at St Thomas' Hospital.
